Sire Viva Gold OLD is a grandson of Weihegold OLD, the Olympic champion, European champion, and multiple World Cup winner ridden by Isabell Werth. In 2019, Viva Gold OLD was awarded a final score of 9.09, making him the winner of the 14-day test. For this examination, he received the ultimate score of 10 for both walk and canter. Viva Gold OLD qualified twice for the Bundeschampionat. From his first 2 years alone he produced 19 approved sons, including 2 champion stallions and 9 premium stallions. Vino Tinto has recently been added to this list of impressive approved offspring.

Dam Estelle, a premium mare, is the mother of Vino Tinto. She is a daughter of premium mare Santina. From this lineage comes the stallion Despacito (by Don Nobless), the champion of the Hanoverian championships and silver medallist at the Bundeschampionat. This dam line also produced Excalibur (by Escamillo), the second reserve champion of the stallion licensing in Munster-Handorf in 2022. A stallion by Despacito from this dam line was also approved at the same stallion licensing.
